I decided to make a page teaching people how 2 make their own sites. ok, lets get started.
1. java script or html = BAD
don't try to make a website using html or java script until u get comfortable with the online programms
2. get a free subscription at
http://www.tripod.com (everything can be free u just have 2 learn how 2 take advantage of "the system." ) Tripod is a fast and easy way for
beginners to learn how to create websites in seconds. dont even pay a penny.
3. get a free subscription at
http://www.bravenet.com/ as well. with this u can also create easy sites. or u could do like me. u could use their tools such as message
boards and chat rooms and copy them onto ur tripod site. all u have 2 do 2 do that is
- log onto bravenet. then find the tool u want 2 put on ur website.
- edit all the prefrences until u like it.
- then, click on the copy paste code on ur bravenet service manager and copy all of the text.
- go onto tripod.com and log in.
- then click on site builder and edit ur site
- to add the item click "site add ons"
- chose location for the chat room icon or watever u got from bravenet then click done
- click on the multimedia tab and then click Add Your Own HTML.
- then paste the code from bravenet and hit done.

4. make sure u try to update ur site otherwise people will stop visiting it. another thing that works to attract visitors
is post their work on ur site, 4 instance, my poem page. i went into the poem chat room and asked people if they wanted their
poems on my page. they all were really grateful and visit my site often. its kinda cool 2 have fans
5. tripod has a nifty little button that says promote ur site. that was helpful to get people to know about my site. it
automaticly sent emails to all my friends and put my web site on a few different search engines.
6. their r lots of little tips and hints i could tell u about everything but they dont take a lot of time 2 learn. just
play around with the programs and u'll get the hang of it in no time.
7. their are tons of sites that u can get free web site hosting subscriptions to but i haven't found anything else that
